Bill was my first boyfriend that I ever had. He was my boyfriend when we were in Mr. Gun's 6th grade class. I think he even held my hand once. We would laugh about it when we were in high school.

Bill was a great guy and I always remember him being really smart and sweet to others. I never ever remember Bill being mean or disrespectful to anyone.

You are missed by many, Bill.

Bill and I were both the "husky boys" in grade school and jr. high. I still get a kick out of his mother, Mary telling the story of how when we'd get together as kids at his house, "Bret was always on a diet".

I'll remember Bill as the one who turned me on to Cheech and Chong when we were in jr. high.

After High School, we both ended up at Western, then years later our paths crossed again after he married Sherry and she and I worked together at WHOI.

Bill always had a great sense of humor and was very much a "gentle giant". He's missed.

Man, Bill I really miss you & the times we had in High School. Speeding around the brick streets of West Peoria
in between football practices so I could see my girlfriend. The football games & practices. The classes together. The parties at your parents house. Your parents treating me like I was their own son. Everytime I drive by your grave on the way to Farmington I think of you. I don't understand why God took you from us so early. While I am writing this I received an email that your son Justin confirmed me as a friend on Facebook - he looks so much like you - you would be proud & I am proud to be called your son's friend!

He has achieved success
who has lived well,
laughed often, and loved much;
who has enjoyed the trust of pure women,
the respect of intelligent men
and the love of little children;
who has filled his niche and accomplished his task;
who has left the world better than he found it
whether by an improved poppy,
a perfect poem, or a rescued soul;
who has never lacked appreciation of Earth's beauty
or failed to express it;
who has always looked for the best in others
and given them the best he had;
whose life was an inspiration;
whose memory a benediction

Ralph Waldo Emerson

We all miss you Bill !
